World’s Most Underrated Beaches

We’ve all practically heard about the amazing Australian Gold Coast or the fabled Florida shores. We’ve heard their praise and how their beaches are exhilarating. However, the question whether these are the only places to dip your toes into the sand. The good news is that the answer is no. There are indeed other beaches that have been underrated, yet they are fantastic destinations for a salty adventure. They include:

This beach is located on the west coast, south of France. Only one hour away from Bordeaux, it is a fantastic beach which boasts the highest sand dune in Europe. The gorgeous white sand stretches for a mile and a half.

Capo Sant’ Andrea, Elba

This island off the Italian coast takes a little boast in the fact that it was where Napoleon was exiled to. Unfortunately, he was an emperor over bewildered subjects for less than a year. Besides the role of Capo Sant’ Andrea in history, it is a small stretch of a white sandy beach bordering crystal clear waters. It also has abundant marine life and spectacular climbable cliffs.

Isle of Lewis, Scotland

Peter May loves to set his original stories in this picture-perfect stretch of sand, sea and pounding surf. The rugged shore goes on for miles and miles.

Goose Rocks Beach, Maine

It is part of Kennebunkport which has earned a reputation as a playground for the rich and richer. Its distance from Kennebunkport makes it less crowded.
